Reference Cinema Source
Kaleidescape
A premium movie platform for high-bitrate video and lossless audio in a dedicated cinema.
Credentials & Experience
Cave Group is an authorized Kaleidescape dealer. Kaleidescape only works with a small network of professional integrators worldwide — the brand is positioned at the top of the luxury cinema market and isn't sold through retail channels.
Kaleidescape combines movie players and local library storage for a dedicated cinema experience. We specify the player, server, video formats and audio capabilities around the room and selected equipment.
Why Kaleidescape
The Reason We Install It
Streaming compromises everything for bandwidth. Even the highest tier of Netflix, Apple TV+, or Amazon Prime Video runs at a tiny fraction of the bitrate of the studio master — and the audio is even more compressed. For a casual living room TV, you'd never notice. In a dedicated cinema room with Trinnov processing, StormAudio amps, and L-Acoustics speakers, the difference is immediate.
Downloaded titles play from local storage, with high-bitrate video and lossless audio on supported titles and equipment. We verify storage capacity, player compatibility and supported formats before specifying the system.
The catalog includes new releases and library titles. Availability, release dates and formats vary by title and territory. We review the available catalog with the client during planning.
What We Do
Kaleidescape Capabilities
Strato C Movie Player
A movie player for a compatible Kaleidescape system. Supported video and audio formats are checked against the exact player model and display chain.
Terra Movie Servers
10TB, 22TB, and 88TB storage configurations. Downloads movies in the background, hosts the entire library locally — no internet required for playback.
Cinema Room Design
We design dedicated cinema rooms around Kaleidescape — acoustic treatment, projection, screen, processing, amplification, and seating layout.
Trinnov Pairing
Trinnov Altitude processors are the perfect Kaleidescape partner — full Dolby Atmos and DTS:X object-based audio with room correction.
StormAudio Integration
StormAudio ISP processors and PA amplifiers — multi-channel reference audio for the most demanding cinema rooms.
L-Acoustics & Wisdom
L-Acoustics Cinema Series speakers, Wisdom Audio screen channels, and TPI Sound for the highest-end cinema builds.
Barco Projection
Barco Bragi laser projection — the same technology used in commercial cinemas. Native 4K HDR output.
Crestron Control Integration
Kaleidescape integrates natively with Crestron 4-Series. Movies, scenes, and lighting all controlled from one Crestron touchpanel.
Multi-Zone Cinema
One Terra server can feed multiple Strato C players. The same library plays in the main theater, family room, and master bedroom.
