The Reason We Install It
Streaming compromises everything for bandwidth. Even the highest tier of Netflix, Apple TV+, or Amazon Prime Video runs at a tiny fraction of the bitrate of the studio master — and the audio is even more compressed. For a casual living room TV, you'd never notice. In a dedicated cinema room with Trinnov processing, StormAudio amps, and L-Acoustics speakers, the difference is immediate.
Kaleidescape solves this by delivering the studio master directly. Movies download to a Terra server (10TB to 88TB capacity) at full bitrate — typically 50-100 Mbps for the video plus full lossless object-based audio. The Strato C player connects to the cinema and reproduces the master file exactly. Same as what plays in a Dolby premium theater. Same as what the colorist signed off on.
And the catalog is current — Kaleidescape gets new releases the same day as Apple iTunes 4K, often before Blu-ray or streaming. Clients can pre-order titles, queue downloads automatically, and have new releases waiting on movie night. It's the only premium cinema source designed for luxury homeowners who care about the experience.
