Who installs smart home systems in Upper Saddle River, NJ?+–

In Upper Saddle River most of our work is on new houses: lighting control, shades, audio-video, networking, and security, designed with the builder and installed during construction.
Our builder’s electrician says he does smart homes. Why bring in an integrator?+–
An electrician installs what is on the drawings. An integrator decides what should be on them: where the equipment lives, how the lighting is grouped into scenes, how the network reaches the third floor and the patio, and how it is all programmed and supported afterwards. We work alongside the electrician, not instead of one.
We are buying a house that is already framed. Is it too late?+–
No. Before insulation we can still add pathways, shade wiring, and speaker locations. After drywall the options narrow to wireless lighting control and equipment that does not need new cable, which is still a good system but not the same one.
How long does the technology take on a new build?+–
It follows the builder’s schedule: rough-in before insulation, trim after paint, and programming and commissioning in the last weeks before move-in. The design should start months earlier, while the drawings are still changing.
Who supports the system after we move in?+–
We do. Cave Watch is our support program: round-the-clock remote monitoring of the network, control system, audio-video, and lighting, remote fixes and software updates, priority response, and an annual health check. Central-station alarm monitoring and live guard video monitoring can be added to the same plan.
