Hospitality · Guest-Room Automation
Guest-Room Automation, Custom or Packaged.
A custom guest-room system built on Crestron, or Lutron myRoom where a packaged, cloud-managed platform fits the property, driven by the property-management system from check-in to checkout and commissioned room by room, anywhere in the United States, Hawaii, or Europe.
Guest-Room Automation
The Room Is the Product.
Crestron's hospitality platform puts total room control in the guest's hands through a custom, hotel-branded interface on touch screens, keypads, or a phone, with lighting, shades, and climate on one system that integrates with the guest-room and building-management systems. Lutron's myRoom brings dimming down to 0.1 percent, lights, temperature, and shades on one elegant control, a bedside master-off, and Guest Presence Detection that knows whether a room is occupied; it integrates with Oracle, HTNG, Infor, Protel, and OnQ property-management systems, and since October 2023 it is part of a cloud-connected hospitality solution with a centralized dashboard and energy-use and occupancy reports.
The guest expects it: Hilton's Connected Room, which lets guests run temperature, lighting, TV, and streaming from their phone, is in more than 2,400 hotels. The owners are building for it: the U.S. luxury pipeline hit a record 95 projects and 22,045 rooms closing 2025 and another record of 102 projects and 25,527 rooms in the first quarter of 2026. The choice we help an owner make is between a custom room on Crestron, with every scene, keypad, and integration designed to the property, and a packaged room on myRoom, with the cloud management and the proven PMS interface that come with it.

Questions About Guest-Room Automation
Guest-Room Automation, Answered
Should we build the guest room on Crestron or use Lutron myRoom?+–
Build custom on Crestron when the property wants its own room: keypads and touch screens designed with the interior designer, scenes and integrations nobody else has, TV and audio on the same control, and programming you own. Use myRoom when a packaged, cloud-managed platform with a proven PMS interface fits the property and the schedule. We are a Crestron Elite Gold Partner and Lutron HTI certified, so the answer is about the property, not about us.
What does the property-management system drive?+–
Check-in brings the room to a welcome scene, checkout and vacancy set lighting and climate back, occupancy status drives setbacks, and do-not-disturb and make-up-room reach housekeeping without a knock. myRoom lists Oracle, HTNG, Infor, Protel, and OnQ among its integrations; a custom Crestron room is integrated through the PMS vendor's interface, such as Oracle's Hospitality Integration Platform or the Mews Marketplace.
How are the rooms commissioned on an opening schedule?+–
Floor by floor against the construction schedule: a model room is built and signed off first, keypads and engraving are standardized by room type, each room is programmed from that template, and commissioning is logged room by room so engineering gets a documented building, not a punch list.
Can you do this in an open hotel?+–
Yes. Rollouts are phased by floor or wing, guest-room work is done in short housekeeping windows, public spaces are converted overnight, and the old and new systems run side by side until the last floor is cut over. Most properties never close a room.
Who supports the property after opening?+–
We do, remotely first. Cave Watch monitors the network, the guest-room systems, the public-space AV, and the lighting, fixes most faults without a visit, and schedules one when it is needed; Crestron XiO Cloud, the Lutron dashboard, and UniFi give the technician and the property the same view. Firmware and programming updates are staged floor by floor, and the support agreement names response times and what the on-site staff handle.

Bring the drawings if the hotel is on paper, the room mock-up if it is in design, or the list of what no longer works if it is open. We will tell you what we would do, in what order, what it would take, and how the rooms get commissioned without closing the floor.
